LMD embodies street rap style, but not because he draws more attention on the street but that just his rapping heritage.

He’s fully street because his music is confident, creative and puts his unique identity and culture on full display. And, oh yeah, the tracks are hard as hell.

Go listen to “Letter To Federal Government” and come fight with me, if he doesn’t worth it.

Many of the names on this list enjoyed acclaim in 2017, but Alphil Lexy received perhaps the biggest co-sign.

He dropped numerous of hit tracks last year, spawning successful songs like “Bodak Yell0w Freestyle”, and “Mr Bartender,” but those moments paled in comparison to the national attention he caught when he dropped “Ready Made” late last year.

With more eyes on him than ever, Alphi has to keep delivering the fun, clever, and melodic tracks he’s broken out with.

5. Akintunde

When it comes to new rappers coming out of Nigeria, you can almost always expect a handful of them to be indigenous rappers.

Some manage to not sound dated. Abayomi Akintunde harken back to the days of Dagrin and Lord Of Ajasa, but are unmistakably making music for a new generation.

The tough-minded rappers from Lagos have quietly become the underground favorites thanks to platforms like Naijaloaded, which don’t slouch in their promotional strength.

The self-proclaimed King Jomo have promised us at least some projects in 2018 two of them with legendary rapper Olamide and reminisce.

After the successful release of his track featuring the one and only Mr Me YAGI Lil Kesh tittled “Omo Ologo remix”

The King Jomo Gang plans to re-up with new wave Nigeria street raps by any means necessary in 2018.

4. Deshinor

Look at the name Deshinor, who recently released a single tittled “New Wave” via Matt Westside label, and you’d probably expect to hear a heavy-hitting wall of sound.

Hopefully you learned not to judge a book by its cover. The name Deshinor belongs to 24-year-old singer/songwriter Deshinor whose voice captivated Naijaloaded team and is on a clear pathway to the top this 2018.

3. Leke Lee

It’s undeniable that indigenous rapper Leke Lee is having a well-deserved moment, so it’s no surprise to see artists like Leke Lee making a charge, after the release of his street banger “Omo Oloja”

His flow is less aggravated than some of his indigenous peers, but he’s icy cold and has a touch of the street sound that could see him tip into mainstream of the Industry this 2018. Let’s all keep an eye on the dawg called “Leke” Yewo Master.

2. TROD

The name TROD Is unarguably an acronyms for The Return Of Dagrin.

There must be something in water in Nigeria to have caused this overflow of talented, young rappers.

After putting out a dizzying array of tunes in 2017 that caught the attention of big guns in the industry, this determined rapper shows no signs of slowing down.

His newest released track tittled “Kini Level” is a perfect hint that 2018 is gonna the Dagrin doppelganger breakthrough into the industry top flight.

1. Lyta

Lyta, the fresh-faced 15 years old who has attracted major attention last year with his popular single “Time” Ft. Junior boy.

He’s since linked up with other major Nigerians like Kiss Daniel, Mayorkun, and Reekado Banks, and produced another minor hit yet to be released called ‘Aiye”.

He certainly has a big opportunity to capitalize on buzz in the upcoming months.

The biggest question mark is whether his rather straightforward singing prowess will be enough to stand out in an already-crowded Nigeria music market.

He has an ongoing track with the street king, Olamide Baddo which is gonna be the version 2 of the Time earlier released featuring Junior Boy.

You all should watchout for the sugar coated voice Boy, whose name is LYTA!!!

You want a good song? I recommend Lyta’s track to you. See HERE
